Roshaneh Zafar

Roshaneh Zafar is the Founder and Managing Director of Kashf Foundation, one of the first Microfinance Institutions in Pakistan. Established in 1999, the organization targets women from low income communities, provides them with loans and helps them improve their economic conditions. Having degrees from Wharton Business School and Yale, Roshaneh has also worked with the World Bank for several years. She has been awarded with the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, the OneWoman Initiative Award by the US State Department and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for her work in the field of development and women empowerment.
